Rune is a side character in Paper Lily that has the appearence of a hooded figure. Lacie first meets rune on a pier right outside of Red's Tree House northwest of the forest.

Appearence

Rune wears a maroon / burgundy colored cloak which looks like it has a face on it. Their facial features aren't visible apart from the eyes and horns with the latter being part of the hood itself.

Introduction

Before meeting Rune Lacie will have to overcome a set of three spike puzzles just to reach them. Upon finally reaching them, Rune exclaims their interest towards runes. Rune

Rune is a side character in Paper Lily who Lacie finds out on a pier after making it through the traps Rune laid along the path. Once Lacie and Rune meet Rune becomes aware that Lacie is a human however Rune both makes Lacie aware of the fact that this is a bit obvious but also makes no move to harm Lacie. Once being told why Lacie has made her journey Rune tells Lacie to meet Red who she had 'just missed' here but would be found at the lighthouse in the distance. Rune lets Lacie explore around the pier and the treehouse there (although he will say something if Lacie attempts to enter the house without talking to him first). Upon speaking with Rune a second time, they reveal their love of runes and offers to give things to Lacie in exchange for runes which can be found around the forest and surrounding area.

Rune will trade runes for various items. These items are preset and are always given in order. If more runes are given beyond the set list, Rune will instead give one coin per rune.
